TMS320F280021: Libraries for Brushed DC Motor Control

Part Number: TMS320F280021
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DESIGNDRIVE

Hi Team,

Do we have BDC motor control libraries available for the new F28002x C2000 family? If so, is there a particular device within this family that is recommended for this type of application? I see that there is a F280025C supported solution on DesignDRIVE, but am wondering if the lower memory options would be sufficient for a simple BDC.

Thanks,

Antonio

  • Brushed DC control is as simple as it gets. If it's a low voltage motor there are even TI drivers that will do the control built into the driver.  DRV88x

No, there are no C2000 examples for brushed DC.

If they want an MCU to be involved in the control it certainly doesn't need to be a dedicated motor control MCU. They could use whatever other processor is involved for communications, UI, etc.
