TMS320F28374S: Will small oscillator tolerance cause problems?

Hello togehter,

in SPRS881H i found:

and in SPRUHX5G i found:

I want to set fPLLSYSCLK exactly with a precise Oscillator to 200 MHz (firmware-programming is much easier with this value, than with e.g. 199.5 MHz), so that in case of tolerances the fPLLSYSCLK might be 200,2 MHz.

Will this be a problem, or what consequences will that have?

Hi Ralf,

Are you using INTOSC (internal oscillator) or external Clock as a reference clock to PLL?

If you are using INTOSC1/2 then it has +/-3% accuracy as mentioned in the data manual, so you will not be able to exactly hit 200MHz.

External Oscillator (with low PPM) is always recommended, so you should be fine.
