TMDSDIM100CON5PK: DIMM 100 Socket part availability

Part Number: TMDSDIM100CON5PK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28035, TMDSCNCD28335, TMS320F28075, TMS320F28379D, TMS320F280049C, TMS320F28379S

Hi,

I would like to use a 100-pin TI control card on my AC/DC converter prototype so that I can test various refs of C2000 MCUs without re-designing my board.

None of the following DIMM 100 socket reference is available, and they are all obsolete:

Is there a way to get this part somewhere ? If not, how can I use the DIMM-100 control cards ?

Regards,

Vincent A.

  • Vincent,

the thread that you referenced is still accurate. These components are no longer manufactured. You may be able to find a few thorugh brokers.

What C2000 device are you developing with?

  • Hi,

We develop our inverter controls on the control cards TMDSCNCD28035 or TMDSCNCD28335 (we have both of them in stock). We do code generation in Matlab-Simulink and these two Piccolo/Delfino boards are convinient for this.

  • Vincent,

Unfortunately both of those devices require DIMM connectors. We have found a supplier for these components, and are verifying that they will work as expected.

I will post back here if I can establish a way for you to order them.

May I ask why you chose F28035 and F28335? Do you have existing code developed on these platforms? If you are starting a new development it would be a good idea to at least take a look at TMS320F280049C, TMS320F28379S/TMS320F28379D, or even TMS320F28075. All of which are newer and support more features.
