Hello,

I'm using a custom hardware and Instaspin to control a PMSM. The phase currents are measured with three shunt - resistors. Having the phase currents I would like to derive the current from power supply. I have no any extra  shunt to measure it (so I have to use a SW method), but I think that it can be calculated from the Iq. Is there any built-in function to do that?

    The bus current ( from the battery as you mentioned) depends on the consumption power and efficiency of the inverter, the exact bus current value can't be calculated directly from the torque current, may get an approximate value using a software method. There are no functions to do this in the InstaSPIN example code, you have to add a current sensor to get the exact value if you want.
