TMS320F28375D: ADC trigger source

Hello

I am using TMS320F28375D for dual motor controlling. CPU1 controls motor 1 and CPU2 controls motor 2. I want to use ADCA1, B1, C1 for motor 1 current sensing and ADCA2, B2, C2 for motor 2 current sensing. ADCs will be configured by CPU1, CPU1 ePWMs will be the trigger sources for motor 1 current sensing. The question is can I use CPU2 ePWMs to trigger motor 2 current sensing?

The datasheet says all ePWMs can be the trigger sources of ADC. Is that mean no matter the ePWMs belong to CPU1 or CPU2, it could trigger ADCs?

Hi Chenyi,

It doesn't matter which CPU owns the ePWM module; the trigger lines are HW connections that operate no matter what the CPUs are doing.

Furthermore, the ADC results are multi-mapped to all masters, so it also doesn't matter which CPU owns the module for the purpose of reading the results either.

Hi,

Yes - you could use CLA or CPU (or both) as needed by the application.
It doesn't have any impact on the EPWMs triggering ADCs.
