CCS/TIDM-1000: CCS/TIDM-1000:

Part Number: TIDM-1000

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

Has any one at TI tested the TIDM-1000 board with 400hz ac input 85-120Vrms?

Thanks,

Neguse G.

  • Hi Neguse,

No, we have not tested it with 400Hz ac input. All the tests we did are based on the user guide.

    Regard,

    Chen

  • Hi Chen,

How much changes to the code will be needed if I want to test the board with 400Hz ac input?

Bases on the user guide, I was able to successfully test each of the BUILD.

Now what I want to test the board for is, after each build I want to unplug the control card from the computer and verified as a standalone unit by powering input off and slowly powering it on and be able to measure voltage across VBUS, is this possible and do you have any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Neguse

  • Can  someone at TI CCS/TIDM-1000 reply to my questions above please?

    Thanks,

    Neguse

  • Hi Neguse,

We actually don't have a good answer for 400Hz condition since our design has never covered this. We have a function called POWER_MEAS_SINE_ANALYZER which is used to analyze the input sine wave and calculates several parameters like RMS, Average and Frequency. If the input freq is increased to 400Hz, the accuracy might be impacted. So you have to be very careful for this test.

We don't provide standalone version of software in our SDK and this should be achievable by the customers. Are you also asking about something like the AC drop test?

    Regards,

    Chen
