TMS320F28377D: Example code for initial position detection in PM motor

For salient pole IPM motors, initial position detection using high frequency injection technique is possible. Consistency of this method has been an issue depending on the level of saliency. You can find an example project in controlSUITE at

Buildlevel 7, 8 and 9 deal with it

The code is not openly available, you may have to reach out to your nearest TI sales channel for that.

Okay sir. No problem we will try to contact TI sales. But apart from example code, can you please suggest some literature that I can refer to? Any documentation or paper will be of great help.

There are IEEE publications on this topic, not necessarily the exact implementation we did. Look for high frequency injection based position estimation in PM motors. Sorry for being not specific. Thanks.
