F2806x 80-pin devices and McBSP

Even though the Piccolo family is specially suited for power/motor control and such applications I would like to know how applicable it would be for audio apllications  - mainly because of the hardware floating point support which would make the development of audio applications a breeze - so an example of McBSP / I2S application would be interesting (similar to this "TMS320C6000 McBSP: I2S interface" document, maybe just an addendum to it:

Mikko, the 28x is used in some interesting audio processing applications like guitar effects pedals, keyboards, and some digital speaker drive / class-D amplification.

Why did cutted a McBSP? Can TI make it full in future revisions? It will be very useful! (for me)))

i think for audio processing, u'd better switch to c5000 or omap platform.

it is very expensive and hard to find.

Thank You, I also purchased a c5000 samples recently, but they are 16 bit...

More attractive for me tms320f28335 and tms320f28069 because I already have  a tms320f280x complete working device, and it is great just to add new features with new, more powerful processors, not re-enginere a device (software) overall.

We will certainly have 10s of thousands for sampling and low volume prototyping. We plan to release to production end of year or early next.

When do you expect to sample the USB versions of the 06x?

Have you seen the new Isolated F28035 controlCARD that ships with the DRV8412-C2-KIT (and will ship with other new motor kits starting next week)?

It has the USB connector on the card, with XDS100, and isolation.

The F28069 controlCARD will be available in this version, AND it will have a USB micro AB connector which supports both host and device mode operation.  With an adapter it can easily be made to connect to devices with standard size USB A and B connectors.

Any idea of when you expect to sample the USB versions of the 06x? (I guess April did not happen...)
