HV Motor Control Kit - Sensorless & autotune

Hi All,

Working on a design based on the HVACI Sensorless reference design.  Most drive manufacturers offer an autotune feature to automatically calculate the motor parameters.  Is this possible with the reference design?  Anyone know of any documentation to that regard?

    Interesting question - "auto tune" is mainly a software block based on system measurements of few parameters ... in theory any platform which allows to measure motor phase currents and inverter DC bus voltage should be suitable to implement "autotune". Of course, like all practical systems, you will have restrictions on inverter and motor matching, testing configuration based on application (in some applications any rotor movement may not be tolerated and therefore in those cases autotune has to be done without disturbing rotor.
