CCS/TMS320F280049: Can CLA trig DMA ?

Hello,

We have implemented the following system on our real time system with 280049 :

EPwm (fixed frequency 100 kHz) -> trig Adca Adcb Adcc

End Of conversion on Ada -> trig CLA for calculation

At end of CLA calculation, we have to update the Epwm CMPA (for changing duty cycle), actually, we reload the Epwm registers in the CLA return interrupt

but it's not immediade (could be delayed by other interrupts, CAN, Timer, etc ...)

Is there a possibility, at the end of CLA calculation, to trig the DMA to reload EPwm immediately and without any program ?

Or is there any possibility to update the Epwm inside the CLA task ?

(Or another idea or solution will be wellcome)

Yes, the CLA has access to the ePWM registers and can perform the update.

P.S.: Take a look at the CLA Software Development Guide for additional information about the CLA.

Hi Lori,

Thanks for your reply. Ok for the registers accessible to the CLA (and the DMA)

(Not very evident in the datasheet …)

I'll investigate that way and it should be OK

Some additional information. In the F28004x datasheet, there is a table called "Peripheral Registers Memory Map". This table shows each of the peripheral registers and whether the CLA and/or the DMA can access those registers.
