TMS320F28069F: InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION User's Guide

Part Number: TMS320F28069F

Hello,

I have some questions on InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION User's Guide (SPRUHJ1G).

Specifically it is on Section 4.8.1.2 Entering ACIM Motor Parameters From a Datasheet to user.h.

It is stated as follows:

I need to know how    and   were obtained as stated above.

How were they obtained?

Thank you for your guidance.

With regards,

JS Yoo

  • As the description of setting ACIM motor parameters in the user's guide, these parameters (R1, R2...) can be found in the datasheet or the nameplate of the motor, or get them from the motor manufacturer, and then calculate the Rr, Rs, and Ls as the equations in the user's guide.

The motor parameters (Rr, Rs, and Ls) can be identified by using lab02b/c as well.

  • Hi Yanming Lao,

    Thank you for your review.

I suppose that the motor identification procedure of InstaSPIN finds XM, X1 and X2 through the no load test and locked rotor test.

Then Rr and Ls are calculated by using the equations given in the user's guide as below:

Please inform me the mathematical background for the equations with respect to    and   as stated above.

    Thank you for your guidance.

    With regards,

    JS Yoo

  • The Rs, Rr and Ls will be get directly from the identification of InstaSPIN. The guide is just for calculating these parameters according to the datasheet of the motor if you don't want to run the identification process.

  • Hi Yanming Lao,

    Thank you for your review.

All right. Let's forget about the identification process of InstaSPIN.

My question is on the user's guide equations.

The user's guide provides equations for calculating Rr and Ls with reference to the motor data as follows:

What is the mathematical background for the equations listed above?

Thank you for your kind guidance.

    With regards,

    JS Yoo

  • That's all we have described in the user's guide, no more information can be provided for you. It's should be enough for setting the parameters to spin the motor.
