TMS320F280049: Emulate flash sectors as EEPROM

Dear Champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The appnote is not for F280049 flash

In the previous post, it also mentioned the app note may not apply to F2837x and showed another Hercules app notes.

Does that mean the Hercules API can be used directly?

We are confused.

Here, for F28004x, can we refer to them or not?

Is there any concern here like ECC?

Would you please help confirm what doc we can refer to or your don't suggest using F280049 flash to emulate as EEPROM?

Wayne,

You can emulate F280049 flash as EEPROM.

However, we don't have an EEPROM driver to give you.

Hence, we showed you an example that Hercules team did with ECC.

You can not use Hercules Flash API for F280049.

But, you can suggest customer to develop EEPROM driver with that example using F280049 Flash API.

I understand.

How about the 64-bit alignment restriction?

Is this same on Hercules?

That is, do Hercules's examples also deal wit it?

Wayne,

Hercules example should have the same ECC restriction.
