Compiler/LAUNCHXL-F28379D: CODE OPTIMIZER FOR ETHERCAT APPLICATION

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Dear all,

I am developing an EtherCAT application using LaunchXL-F28379D and Beckhoff's ET1100 piggyback controller. I have successfully run my app and I would like to optimize it. I have seen that C2000 compiler has some optimization options, but I do not know if this will mess up EtherCAT stack's generic code. Are there gonna be any problems if I turn on optimization? Should I make any modifications in the stack (make some variables volatile etc.)?

Thank you in advance,

Aristotelis
