LAUNCHXL-F280049C: Cannot be detected on USB

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280049C

Hi Team, we would like to seek your advice on this matter.

The usb com port is not identified on their computer. In PORTS(COM & LTP) its not detected they can see TI XDS100 Channel A TI XDS100 Channel B under Universal Seriel Bus Controller. And when trying to run and build using Embedded Coder, there is a error device not connected.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Mark

  • Hi Mark,

You should see something like the below in your device manager under Ports when the LaunchPad is plugged in. The LP has an XDS110 debugger on the board.

I'm not familiar with using the Mathworks embedded coder and will ask someone else to comment on that part.

    Best,

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin, Based on their feedback, this is what they are seeing on their side. XDS100 Ch A and B.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • Hi Mark,

I'm not certain why they are seeing 'TI XDS100 Channel A/B' under the USB drop down. This is not something I have appear when I plug in my own LAUNCHXL-F280049C, maybe they have another board plugged in through USB (it looks like they have a number of USB devices plugged into their PC)? The F28004x LaunchPad does not have an XDS100 on the board, but a XDS110, which is what they should see under 'Ports (COM & LPT)' like I had shown.

Can you provide a screenshot of what they see under the 'Ports' drop down?

    Best,

    Kevin
