CCS/TMS320F280049: CPU: (Error -1135 @ 0x0), [ERROR] C28xx_CPU1

Part Number: TMS320F280049
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISOW7841

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi team,

our customer is facing some issues during testing their board using the TMS320F280049. Following information I have received:

We are using a XDS110 programmer/debugger configured for the 2 wires Jtag,

The connection to the DSP is completely random and often we cannot connect at all.

With a brand new DSP we see a signal reset every 15ms and it looks like pretty normal,

We found a schematic error we fixed: we connected the isow7841 supplied at 5V directly to the C2000 and the supply voltage on the microcontroller was forced to 3.4V,

we placed a 4.7Kohm resistor between the C2000 and the isow7841 and the problem seemed to be solved (we changed the c2000 with a new one too).

Today we had to write a new version of the FW and the issue was there again:

[ERROR] C28xx_CPU1: Trouble Halting Target CPU: (Error -1135 @ 0x0) The debug probe reported an error. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 9.1.1.00002)

[2/7/2020 08:50:23] [ERROR] C28xx_CPU1: JTAG Communication Error: (Error -1135 @ 0x0) The debug probe reported an error. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 9.1.1.00002)

[2/7/2020 08:50:25] [ERROR] C28xx_CPU1: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting. There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory. It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging

Many thanks in advance
