TMS320F280049: How to optimize and improve the internal oscillator performance?

Hi Expert,

In F280049 datasheet, the internal oscillator frequency stability is -3% to 3%.

Customer wonder if optimize the SW or HW could improve the internal oscillator frequency stability performance, and what level could be achieved?

Hi Rayna,

There is no current optimization available yet for optimizing the internal oscillator performance on the F280049, however for long term we are currently looking at ways to improve factory trimming to improve the oscillator tolerance. This study will take several quarters to accomplish as it will involve evaluating data on several lots of devices. There is no clear timeline and what improvement can be achieved yet but we will keep you posted on the developments.
