I think, you still not get the picture. I am using the control board and have a control card separate from TI: I don't know what you called it onboard XDS emulator or external emulator.

Is it possible the control gets damaged and becomes hot? I see no reason for this to happen as I am using it from long time.

After installing the latest software, are you getting same error in connecting as before? Earlier you mentioned that the board is getting hotter than normal. It is still the case or it happens only when it is running the app.

First of all, you are using baseboard+TMDSCNCD28379D. Is that correct?

Are you using external emulator or non-card xds100v2?

Also, please check if the switches are correct as per following document, section 3.

Typically, when we see a device get hot this is caused by an unexpected current path, which in turn will cause the device to not function properly.  There are a few explanations we should investigate:

1)Load on the GPIO(s):  From reset all of the GPIOs on this device are configured as inputs.  They will stay this way until the user code configures them otherwise.  I want to ensure the GPIOs stay this way when you power on, so please configure the boot pins to Wait Boot mode(SW1:1 = high SW1:2 = low) and power the device.  Are you able to connect to CCS, and the device is stable?  If so there is likely contention on a GPIO when the code configures it to an output and we can debug that further if this is the case

2)Assuming the above does not allow a stable connection we should investigate the voltage rails into the device after power up(I'd recommend keeping the device in wait boot mode to give us a known condition).  Can you use a DMM to measure the VDDIO/VDD voltage rails of the device?  Are they within the range specified by the DS?  If not we may be dealing with a damaged device or damaged LDO

3)We can also try applying power to the device, but not connecting the USB cable for the XDS100v2 debug probe to see if the device is still hot.

Let's see where this gets us, if we do determine that the controlCARD has some damage to it we can start the process of getting a refund/exchange but I'd like to see if we can ID the issue before going down that path.

Thanks for the message.

As far as I understand from the solution, I have tried to apply all of them. The control card is unable to connect with the CCS. Moreover, as I just connect the card with the power it becomes very hot. According to my experience and others among here. They are suggesting that the card looks like it is damage. Please kindly exchange the card if it is possible. My things are delayed in my experiments already. I hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you again for contacting me.
