TMS320F28388D: EMIF1 and EMIF2 pins muxed

Dear all,

We see in the TRM that, if EMIF1 is chosen to have a 32-bit data width, EMIF2 cannot be used because EMIF2 data pins are muxed with EMIF1 MSB data pins. But in the pinmux tools and pin mux tables we see that these pins will not muxed, can we use both EMIF1 32bit and EMIF2 16bit?

The pinmux tool should be correct. Can you try it in this version of the pinmux tool as well? Just to double check the code with the NEW tool.

Note that there are multiple MUX options for EMIF.

Yes, there are collisions between the EMIF1 and EMIF2 data pins in the GPIO53 range....

But there are alternate options available for the EMIF2 data pins in the GPIO122 range...

Hi Sam,

Yes, we have provided additional mux option on F2838x device so this note is not applicable for this device. This is carry over from F2837x device. We'll update it in next TRM update.
