TMS320F28379D: Alternative C2000 IC which is smaller than TMS320F28379D and can access two BiSS-C Absolute Encoder Master Interface

Hi, 

About "TIDM-1010  : BiSS-C Absolute Encoder Master Interface Reference Design for C2000 MCUs reference design",  TMS320F28379D is used.

My customer would like to know if the FW  can be migrated to fewer pin count and smaller package size C2000 IC( < 10mm*10mm).

If the answer is "Yes", please help to provide the suggested C2000 IC P/N which also can access two  BiSS-C Absolute Encoder Master Interface

    Hello Mike,

    Something within the F28004x device family might be a good fit for your customer.  Each BiSS-C encoder interface in our reference requires 2 CLB tiles (type 1 or later) + 3 I/O + an ePWM. These are listed in the documentation for TIDM-1010.
