The technical reference manual (https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruhm8i/spruhm8i.pdf), comments in chapter 4.7, table 4-10, that in emulation mode (with JTAG) the CPU2 can boot from several sources.
But later, in chapter 4.8, the boot diagrams only seem to permit Get Mode (from OTP): on Figure 4-5, if EMUKEY==0x5A, any value of EMU_BMODE goes to (A). I understand that (A) is the OTP Get Mode of figure 4-7, where only OTP is checked. This seems to be an error of the TRM. Which is the correct functioning?
By the way, this diagrams are very difficult to follow and seem to need some revision. For example, regarding CPU2 in emulation mode:
You can refer the table for complete list. The flowchart may not show the exhaustive list of options.
Thanks,
If the diagrams are incorrect, I would strongly recommend TI to correct them, because apart from incomplete, they are misleading: you can't know the flow taken in the hidden cases, and it could be interpreted as if all cases with factory default OTP end up in the wait state (except Hibernation & HWBIST).
