TMS320F280025: PIN definition difference between Q-Level and non-Q-Level 64PIN device

Part Number: TMS320F280025

Hi Team,

There are differences between 64PIN Q-level and non-Q-level F280025 devices:

--In 64 QFP-Q, there is no description for PIN30/31, but which has description for 64 QFP.

Could the 64 QFP-Q level device support for PIN30/31 usage or not?  or could you kindly clarify why this happened?

Expect for your kindly reply, thanks.

Best Regards

Benjamin

  • Benjamin,

Great question.  In the current Advance Information datasheet these pins were not indicated as available for the Q version of the devices.  However for the Production Data TMS release these pins will be made available for both S and  Q devices.  There will be no pin out difference across versions for the 64 QFP.  Both GPIO12 and GPIO13 will be available.  The 64QFP samples available from the TI Store now are of the S device, so this will be a seamless transition when the Q TMS is production released.

    Best regards,

    Jason

  • Hi Jason,

Very appreciated for your quickly reply.  Understand that the S/Q TMS release device would have the PIN definition.

    Best Regards
