TMS320F28335: "CAN bit timing calculator" bus parameters

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Hello,

I have a question and feedback about "CAN bit timing calculator"  Excel spreadsheet.

What does "Extra propagation delay (us)" parameter exactly mean?

Extra propagation delay (us) 0,1

Is it need to enter double delay for both transceivers or just for single one?

For example from datasheet on adm3053 IC we have "Propagation Delay from TxD Off to Receiver Inactive1" 250 ns max.

So am I need to enter 2*250ns = 0,5us to "Extra propagation delay (us)" cell?

If I do so:

Input bus parameters here
Bit rate (kilobits/sec) 1000
Bus length (m) 10   Assumed propagation speed is 5 ns/m
Extra propagation delay (us) 0,5   From isolation or other sources of physical layer delay
CAN clock frequency (MHz) 75   SYSCLK/2 for eCAN or the CAN bit clock frequency for D_CAN

Then I get error:

Error: Propagation time is too long for desired bit rate!

Although  adm3053  promises "High speed data rates of up to 1 Mbps".

Thank you!
