C28346 FlashingLeds Example doesn't compile

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

OS: Windows XP SP3

CCS: v4 Downloaded today

I open the C28346 FlashingLeds example from ControlSuite.  I setup the target configuration.  I then try to rebuild the example, and I get these errors:

Build complete for project FlashingLeds-C28346_168

I have tried copying PeripheralHeaderIncludes.h directly into my project.  This is obviously not a long-term solution.  It quiets the first two errors, but the third remains.  What is going on here?
Thanks,
Andrew

  • Hi Andrew,

Thanks for pointing this out, it is being updated in controlSUITE.

In the meantime, you can go to Project > Properties > C/C++ Build > Include Options, then change the include search path that begins with "${CONTROLSUITE_C2834xEXPERIMENTER_ROOT}" to begin with "${CONTROLSUITE_ROOT}" and leave the rest of the path the same. What was happening was that the compiler was not looking in the right folder for the file PeripheralHeaderIncludes.h.

    Regards,

    Katie

  • I had the same problem.  Thank you for your solution.  As I am new to Code Composer Studio, I had no idea where to find the structure.

I am an electrical engineer, not a code writer, but I need to develop a DSP control algorithm for a research project.  I have done some C++ programming for DSP systems in the past, but I've never started from scratch and I feel a bit overwhelmed.  Can you suggest a few good references for someone just starting out?

    Thanks,

    Andy

  • Hi Andy,

I always recommend taking our One-Day or Multi-Day Piccolo Workshop if you can - I've gone through the workshop myself and our training organization does a really great job getting you started on working with C2000 and Code Composer Studio. It helps familiarize you with how to program all of the peripherals on our devices and with our peripheral header file structure - this can really help when you get started on your own projects. (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C2000_Piccolo_One-Day_Workshop_Home_Page)

You can find information about the workshops and links to lots of other training materials by launching the controlSUITE GUI and then selecting "Training and Support" in the menu on the left. Here you can find information about the hands-on workshops, links to online training material and C2000 wiki pages.

I hope that this helps, and good luck with your project!

    Regards,

    Katie
