LAUNCHXL-F280049C: Connecting multiple LAUNCHXL-F280049C to single host

Thank you for the quick response. However, it seems that you have misunderstood my question. Let me be clearer. 

I already have the xds100 serial number for my LAUNCHXL-F280049C using the xdsdfu command line utility.

What I need is a way to get the serial COM port number(highlighed in the screenshot) based on the xds110 serial number. 

I can do this for the LAUNCHXL-F28069M by using the "FT_GetComPortNumber" API in the D2XX library frovided by FTDI(link in the original question). I am looking for a soution for the  LAUNCHXL-F280049C which will allow me to do the same.

I am not aware of a way to do this with the XDS110. I have contacted the engineering team to see if they know a way. I will let you know as soon as I hear any updates.

Hi Sumeet,

We have looked at several options but unfortunately we have not found a good solution. One potential option was using the detect-devices command in UniFlash (you can run the command from the command line). While it will detect all the launchpads connected to the PC and provide the Serial Number for all of them, it will only give the COM number for one of them for some reason. We don't know why there is this limitation but there does not seem to be a workaround. Sorry.

Thank you for the response and follow up with the engineering team. However, I think that UnifFlash is reporting the COM port of only one of the devices because by default all LAUNCHXL-F280049C devices have the same VID PID and also the same XDS110 serial number. 

Could TI expose the API that they use to get the COM port based on the XDS110 serial number or based on the VID PID?

I am going to mark your previous response as "This did NOT resolve my issue" as I would like to have this question answered and I also want to know if a bug/enhabcement request has been filed for this. If yes, could you please share the tracking ID?
