Hi there,
When I was looking at the design guide of TIDM-2PHILPFC. I found it says "This PFC EVM comes with a Piccolo-B control card. However, the controller resources used for the PFC implementation shows that Piccolo EL can also be used to implement full control of the PFC stage." (last paragraph on page 2)
I'd like to know what's the difference between Piccolo-B and Piccolo-EL series of C2000 MCU? I can only find a graph showing different generations with different models. But where can I find the classification (e.g. -A, -B and -EL etc.) of these control cards?
Kind regards,
Yuan
Hello Yuan,
One of our experts will get back to you by Tuesday, since Monday is a US holiday.
Yuan,
I believe that the designation of Piccolo-EL in this case is a typo(we have let the document/kit owner know about it). This is referring broadly to the TMS320F280200 device, however, there is not a controlCARD for that device.
The listing for all C2000 control CARDS can be found here . In this case the kit is shipping with the TMDSCNCD28035ISO card, I believe that the non ISO version would work; and so would the F2802x based controlCARDs as they are pin equivalent of the F280200 device I mentioned earlier.
Best,
Matthew
