Serial communication problem

Dear friend,

I have two LaunchPad TMS320F28379D boards. When I connect these boards to the computer, I must find the assigned COM port in the device manager/Ports (COM & LPT) section. Unfortunately, one of these boards is not recognized by the computer, while another board is recognized and the phrase "XDS100 Class USB Serial Port (COM6)" is illustrated in the device manager/Ports (COM & LPT) section.

I will be grateful if you guide me on how I can resolve this problem.

Hi Reza,

Are you connecting both EVMs together to same PC? Can you connect one EVM at a time and does it enumerate properly in Windows device manager.

Hi Santosh,

I connected both EVMs to the same PC but separately. One of these boards (EVMs) was not recognizable by the computer, while another board was recognizable.

Hi Reza,

Does everything else on the non-working board seem OK? LEDs on the board light up on both sides of the board (XDS100 and F2837x sides)?

It could be an issue with the XDS100. Can you try reprogramming it by following the instructions at the link below:
