TMS320F28069: Problem with DELAY_US()

Hello every body, i got a problem in TMS320F28069 when i call DELAY_US()

program stops and crashs when i call this function.

i have a TMS320F28069M(pay attention) before and my code was run on it, but i changed my processor and choose a TMS320F28069(without M OR F) and now i can't run my code on it because of DELAY_US().

are there any differences between this two processor or linker files?

or am i wrong with some thing?

i cant find out what is going wrong.

Hello,
i had the same problem some time ago on the F28379D, since then i solve it with a memcpy into the flash. The following lines must be somewhere before the function call of DELAY_US() then it should work.

Hi Pouya,

I don't think this failure is related to difference between F28069M (InstaSPIN-MOTION™ enabled device) vs F28069.

As Leon suggested, please map DELAY_US() to .TI.ramfunc section; and map this section to flash address for load and RAM address for run in linker cmd. Before calling this function in your application, you should call memcpy() to copy the contents of .TI.ramfunc section from flash to RAM as shown in C2000Ware examples.

i have another question, currently im running program directly to the ram without program flash, nevertheless i must copy memcpy() in my program in debugging mode?

Pouya,

If delay function is not mapped to .TI.ramfunc section, and if it is directly mapped to RAM as part of .text section, then you don't need to call memcpy() function. I thought you are programming this function to flash.

Do you have ITRAP ISR handler in your application?

After you load the application and before executing this function, check whether or not this function exists at the expected address (check your map file to know the location of this function) in the memory.

Pouya,

IQTABLES address of two devices are different. So, you have to use different cmd files for F28069 and F28069M. You can see the cmd files in the following C2000Ware directory :\device_support\f2806x\common\cmd

i found out what was my problem.

actually every thing you said wasn't my problem and i suppose there is no difference between TMSF28069F and TMSF28069 cmd and other compile and link needed file ...

actually we did a terrible mistake in power circuit of processor, an inductance with a wrong value was mounted on the board and when processor need more current a voltage drop was being occurred and i think when US_DELAY() was executed this was happening.

replacing inductance make the situation as normal as every thing must be and program was run normally
