Our customer asked about Intel Hex Format.
Is there any possibility if extended liner address type=04 and extended segment address type=02 are mixed for a Intel Hex file?

To understand the details of the Intel format used by the hex utility, please search the C28x assembly tools manual for the sub-chapter titled Intel MCS-86 Object Format.

That documentation does not show a record type of 02, so I am confident the answer is no. However, I will check and get back to you.

I can confirm that Intel record type 02 is never used in the hex utility hex2000.
