CCS/TMS320F28388D: Stable version Code Composer Studio

I find a similar issue with CCS  Version: 10.1.0.00010  as well for compiler version 18.1.3.LTS. below is the screen shot

CCS 10.1 should have installed compiler version 20.2.1.LTS. That version should be good

I cannot use the latest compiler as the flash API library is generated using TI v18.1.3.LTS EABI format.

can you provide me Flash Api library compiled with compiler version 20.2.1.LTS in EABI format.

As per our previous discussion on similar issue, did you try to include the eabi option in the build settings (and as I said, you can ignore the CCS GUI warning message)?  Did not that work with CCSv10?  Earlier you confirmed it worked for you (is that a different CCS that you tried at that time?)

Hi Vamsi, 

The compiler works when used from the command prompt, but unfortunately we need to debug for our application which should be compiled by the same compiler, from the above image I have shared you can observe when we select the compiler 18.1.3.LTS , the button Apply and Close gets disabled so we are not able to save the settings of the project.

Can you let me know if I can open any of the stored project file where this compiler version will be stored so I can change there and try to compile it from CCS .

For 18.1.3.LTS, you can select legacy COFF as the output format in the CCS GUI snapshot that you shared above.

And then click on C2000 Compiler in that GUI and add the --abi=eabi flag by clicking on "Edit Flags" button. 

That will generate EABI output even though legacy COFF is chosen as the output format.

I tried the method you suggested got below warnings. what are these warnings related to ?

... here is another solution to consider.  Use the method described in the article Manual Launch to use CCS to debug an executable that is not built inside of CCS.  Is this a practical solution?
