TIDM-BLPFC: MCU reprogram and communicate with MATLAB SIMULINK

Part Number: TIDM-BLPFC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello Team,

Good day.

My customer just ordered the device TIDM-BLPFC. The setup is running properly however we want to rewrite the program inside the Piccolo A microcontroller. Is it possible to rewrite this MCU? He also wanted to communicate with this microcontroller with MATLAB SIMULINK. Do we have a guide on this?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

  • Renan,

Yes, customer can modify the source files that are included in control SUITE install at the following relative location: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\BLPFC_v1.0\, once they make the changes and recompile they can just re-load the program and CCS should take care of the rest, i.e. programming the device.

There's no reason the customer could not use Simulink; however, there is not a natively built example from The Mathworks for this kit.  Customer would need to translate the C source into Simulink blocks; but this could be done.

    Best,
    Matthew
