LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Erased the EEPROM on LAUNCHXL-F28069M and not able to connect with XDC100v2

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Hi All,

I was not able to detect the serial COM port on the device manager and wanted to enable the USB serial port as suggested in the port https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/670519.

While performing these steps mentioned in the above post using M-PROG, After the step 10) Device >> Erase, The board disconnected from the PC and reconnected, Now not able to find the device even if I scan for the multiple times. Its EEPROM got erased and device got disconnected without programming it back, I wanted to know if is there a way to program the EEPROM back so that device can be connected over USB serial port.

Thanks,

Ajay

  • Ajay,

The USB interface to the PC is handled by the FT2232H component of the XDS100 design.  According to its datasheet, the device will default to dual USB-to-Serial when the EEPROM is erased:

If you cannot detect it, try to reinstall the drivers from FTDI or try another PC.
