Hi Team,

I would please explain more detail of Note for QPOSCNT gets reset as below?

I found the following Note at Figure 27-9. Position Counter Reset by Index Pulse for 1000 Line Encoder (QPOSMAX = 3999 or 0xF9F) in TRM (SPRUII0B).

I know the input GPIO pins must be configured for synchronous input mode at least. I don’t understand why is this boundary condition is happened?

Hi Kuerbis,

By design, once INDEX Event occurs, on the next QCLK edge the QPOSCNT gets reset, this note mainly addresses the corner case, where if QCLK and Index event occur in the same SYSCLK cycle, then QPOSCNT gets reset in the same SYSCLK cycle, and does not wait till next QCLK edge, as shown in the figure.
