    In old versions of the compiler the user had to specify a size for the scratchpad.  This is no longer the case. CLA scratchpad management has been simplified; it is no longer necessary to specify a size for the scratchpad in the linker command file.

    This is documented in the Compiler User's Guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/spru514)
