DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT: DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT eCAP function

Part Number: DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

To whom it may concern

In DRV8302-C2-kit allocation and F28035 mux map, the hall inputs connect the GPIO40~42. And that ports have no eCAP in F28035. eCAP ports are GPIO 5, 19 ,24. That ports are allocated other things. So, I wonder how to use eCAP port, if want. The signal has 5V and if the port may not support 5 to 3.3 in the inverter circuit, it is impossible to me. Also, for your understanding, I attach the relative picture. Thanks for help and looking forward to your response.

  • If you have a chance to take a look at the example project of BLDC control with Hall sensor at the folder below in controlSUITE, the project uses the GPIO to check the hall input signals, not use the eCAP function. You might use F2806x, or the latest devices like F28002x or F28004x that have more eCAP supported GPIOs.
