Hi,

I'm trying to test the code of SCI communication with LAUNCHXL-F28379D. And i setup my GPIO and terminal as the picture below.

But the result (below image) i receive were really weird, it seem like there is an error in configuration but i dont know where i should fix. Could anyone suggest me the solution?

Hi Thong,

Try using pins 43 for rx and 42 for tx with pin mux value 15 as these are connected to internal ftdi and see if correct com port is selected.

Have you defined the symbol _LAUNCHXL_F28379D in your CCS project setting?

By default InitSysCtrl function initializes the clock assuming the XTAL frequency = 20MHz (which is used in Controlcard). The Launchpad uses a XTAL with frequency 10MHz. So, in effect, the PLL clock and in turn the SCI clock will be running at half the expected frequency.

If you define a predefined symbol _LAUNCHXL_F28379D in your project settings, the InitSysctrl function will be updated to use the correct PLL configuration for the 10MHz XTAL.
