TMS320F280049: error -1156 reported when downloading the code with UniFlash

Customer reported an issue with error -1156 reported when using UniFlash 6.0.0 to download the code sometimes. The error window indicated that the device might be operating in low-power mode. Could you please help check what the possible reasons for this phenomenon? Thank you.

Few other things to check:

1. Make sure the device is not locked.

2. Device is in wait boot mode when trying to reprogram using flash tools (CCS flash plugin or Uniflash).

Customer said that this error was reported during the firmware download for the second time. And after the error reported, it could work again after powering off and up, and repeating the download process. Could you please help suggest any reasons? Thank you.

Can the customer recreate the issue again?

Can you ask customer to check the MUX position as mentioned in the e2e post Vamsi mentioned earlier?

Santosh,

I don't think it was related to MUX position, since the issue could not be 100% reoccurred. They said about 50% boards would encounter this issue, with the same .out file.

Would it be possible for the customer to check the state of the NMIWDRSn bit in RESC register after they re-connect? I'm wondering if we are tripping an NMI during flash programming due to ECC mis-compare? I'm not sure how much of this is handled in the Uniflash(i.e. disabling of NMI during flash programming) since ECC would also be programmed at this time.
