TMS320C2846 proper XINTF configuration

We are using the XINTF to access an external ADC, CPLD and FLASH chip. The XINTF is configured to ignore the XREADY signal (USEREADY = 0). In the technical data the minimum required settings for XRDLEAD, XRDACTIVE and XRDREAIL (also the write timings) are mentioned.

 

What happens when the XINTF is configured with other settings ignoring the mentioned settings? I tried several configurations which do not meet the requirement but still worked well?

    Jochen,

    The data manual timings are meant to work over temperature, voltage, and normal process variations.  Disregarding the data manual timings may happen to work for a device at a particular temp and voltage but not for another device or at a different temperature.
