ADC FIFO programming

Hi,

 How many input do you want convert, / do you want to convert two singal simulatenously, /do you want same high speed signal?.

There may be some adjustments to be made to target your specific application, but you should be able to get started with the ADC example that is included in the device support files for the TMS320F28035 in the controlSUITE software download.

This example collects a buffer a of samples for 2 channels.  You can start with this, or take elements of this example and tailor it for your needs.

Configure the following registers

ADC Control Register 3 (ADCTRL3) = 0xXXX1; // simultaneous mode.

Maximum Conversion Channels Register (ADCMAXCONV)= 1;    // No of conversion is 1 (i.e ADCINAn and ADCINBn, n=0,1,..7)

ADC Input Channel Select Sequencing Control Registers (ADCCHSELSEQ1) = 0xXXX0; // select ADCINA0 and ADCINB0

Check the output samples in Result register 0 & 1.[use interrupt/polling to collect the sample)

Channel A0 and B0takes the sample at same Time.But ADC convert A0 first and the B0.

Note : Before configuring above  C.regs you have to intialize your ADC (use TI example code).

More to clarify:

The task is to create kinda FIFOs in order to process it's whole data in slow-rate routine (say, each 100us) while letting fast routine to collect ADC samples continiously (say each 333 ns) into that FIFOs.

How to declare all the necessary  arrays and variables correctly?

It is better to update the fifo value using only one ADC iSR instead of having two different sampling rate ISR.

Use int array in ISR to hold the sampled value

The thing is that there are quite a few calculations to be done with these arrays of data - not sure TMS320F28035 will accomplish that in 330 ns.
