TMS320F28379D: Reg: EPWM ( TBPRD)

Dear All,

I am using LAUNCHXL_F28379D, and I need to generate a 1 kHz PWM at EPWM1A. As of now, I am using CPU1 alone.

EPWM parameters

i) UP DOWN count.

ii) HSPCLKDIV = 0 and CLKDIV =0.

TBPRD=(1/2)(TBCLK/Fpwm) = (1/2)*(100 MHz/1 kHz) = 50000.

In hardware, I am getting 500 Hz instead of 1 kHz.

Please let me know where I am making a mistake.

If you are using the launchpad, you need to configure the project for Launchpad. The clock is setup for control card. There is PREDEFINED SYMBOL you need to add to your project

Right click on the project, project properties, under the Build tab, Predefined symbols, then add the new KEYWORD.

Your image did not go through. Can you send a picture of the predefined symol you added?

Prakash,

Can you resend the images? make sure to drag and drop the image FILE into the thread, sometimes copying the image gives this issue.

Dear Nima,

Please find the image of the predefined symbols below.

I am telling you this as information. The day when I included the "_LAUNCHXL_F28379D" in the predefined symbols, it didn't work. But yesterday, once again, I tried the same program. I got what I expected, is that I need to restart CC studio after including "_LAUNCHXL_F28379D" in the predefined symbols?

So by doing this, I am configuring the "sysclk" as 100 MHz, am I right. If so, what is sysclk frequency before?

Actually, I feel that I am doing all this thing blindly without understanding. If any documents are available for this, please suggest to me.
