TMS320F280049: C2PROG couldn't programming after using customized FLASHING tools programming

Hi team,

My customer reported an issue while using C2Prog to programming F280049 that after using customized FLASHING tools to program user code, the C2prog couldn't programming succeed.

Support Need:

Could you kindly give comments on which part could cause C2PROG failed and how to fix this issue?

Below are the detailed description:

1) Customer has 2 part of code: user bootloader & User App;

2) Customer used C2Prog(V1.8.8) & C2Prog(V1.8.9) reported same issue;

3) Firstly used C2Prog to program user bootloader, reported succeed, then use customized FLASHING tools to program user app, reported succeed; then use C2prog to program user bootloader or user app, both operation are failed; shown as below figure.

4) if firstly used JTAG to program both of user bootloader & user app, no matter how to use the customized FLASHING tools to program user bootloader or user app, then to use C2PROG to update the user bootloader & user app, the C2PROG reported succeed.

Hi Anu,

the customized FLASHING tools is used the SCI interface to update the flash; in the customized tools which include an MCU & FLASH

Benjamin,

When you said "firstly used JTAG to program both", do you mean program using CCS? Since it sounds as if the board has JTAG connection available - could you try to erase the device using CCS or Uniflash and see if C2Prog succeeds programming after that?

Also, I would suggest to check whether the custom tool is programming ECC correctly or not using AutoEcc generation mode for flash program command. This helps to avoid resets when device is powered up.
