TMS320F28069: Does the TMS320F28069UPFPS is still under manufacturing and support?

Hello,

I was looking to buy a small amount of the TMS320F28069UPFPS microcontroller and it seems to be discontinued. Is this really the case?

If so, what would be the best alternative? Ideally, with the same footprint, the same number of pins, and same connectivity interfaces.

Hello,

We recommend taking a look at the TMS320F28069FPFPQ. This is our InstaSPIN-FOC version of the part, which also has USB enablement and should be a direct match. InstaSPIN-FOC will not interfere with anything as it is simply an additional enablement designers can use to more easily control their motor control systems.

Hi Rick, Thank you so much for your response, I will definitely take a look at the suggested model.

I just want a clear answer regarding the status of the UPFPS model - is it really out of manufacturing?

The part is “Active,” and is currently being manufactured, however, it is currently unavailable via TI’s eStore and will need to be ordered through an authorized distributor.
