Hello,

as stated in previous posts, I have already gone through and understood your Application Report “C2000 Software Controlled Firmware Update Process”.

Would there be an alternative SW controlled FW upgrade method, which allows us to flash the firmware WITHOUT any hardware modification - neither layout changes nor physical intervention via DIP switch or similar?

There is no other option supported at device level. You have to manage the firmware update process as part of application itself (say some condition to indicate FW update vs the normal application flow).

Sorry if I missed it, but is there already some sample code for firmware update within the application itself?

How could the data to be flashed be temporarily stored?

There is no ready code with firmware update as part of the application.

You can find the firmware update code at \C2000Ware_3_02_00_00\driverlib\f28004x\examples\flash\

The data to be flashed can be stored temporarily in RAM.
