TMS320F280049C: Software Synchronization of multiple HRPWM Modules

Part Number: TMS320F280049C

Hello,

As I am reading through the TRM for HR period configuration, it says "When TBCTL[SYNCOSEL] = 0 (EPWMxSYNCI is EPWMxSYNCO source), a software synchronization pulse should be issued only once during high-resolution period initialization. If a software sync pulse is applied while the PWM is running, the jitter will appear on the PWM output at the time of the sync pulse."

From my understanding, I cannot issue software pulses when the PWM is running, which means that, if I enable HR period control, I cannot change the phase between PWM modules except during initialization, and then it remains constant all the time. Can you please confirm this? And if it is true, what is the way around it since I cannot set SYNCOSEL to 1 or 2?

Thanks,

Ahmed
