CCS/TIDM-1000: Compensation Designer/Solution Adapter

Part Number: TIDM-1000

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

We have been experimenting with a TIDM-1000 using a F28379D MCU board in order to develop our own 32KW power supply.

Using 3 different computers (CCS 10.1 & C2K DPSDK 3.01) and 2 different TMS320F2837D daughter boards we have had limited results getting the TIDM-1000 to work as expected following the design guide instructions.

We can run all 4 builds using a 3 phase autoformer wye connected variac with a neutral and the DC output connected to a Ohmweave adjustable resistive load, adjusted between 1K-500 Ohms.

Though we never see the power factor or output voltage stability meet the specified parameters in the documentation for any of the build configurations.

I am beginning to suspect we have a hardware problem with the TIDM-1000.

Yesterday we bypassed our variac and input 3 phase 208VAC directly from the mains without a neutral connection and ran build 4, with better results though still not meeting the documented specs.

See attached, where would we start if we need to troubleshoot the Vienna hardware? Any help is appreciated.
