Hi,

Do the C2000 microcontrollers (any of them) come with integrated PWM hardware interlock and deadtime inserting circuits?

EPWM peripheral in C2000 devices have built-in deadband modules which can be used to create deadtime. Along that line, the CLB can be used to modify PWM signals even further and insert any additional custom logic.

Hi Nima,

I understand that C2000 comes with with deadtime controlled by software, usually an additional hardware circuit is necessary for reliable hardware interlock and deadtime inserting. Is the EPWM then equal to a traditional HW circuit?

It is similar to replacing CPLD/FPGA based logic, or external logic gates with an internal version of the logic.
