CCS/TMS320F28379D: CAN_BOOT Mode configuration

The CAN Boot mode is described in the TRM under the ROM code and Peripheral booting section.  Specifically I think you are looking for section 4.10.4.6.  I'm not sure how familiar you are with the boot modes, but they can only be used to load code into RAM.  So to do anything from an end application field firmware update perspective you'll need to write a kernel that you load into RAM using the CAN boot mode and then have the kernel take over execution to load and program code into flash.  Alternatively, you can write (or buy) a CAN bootloader that will reside in flash to perform field firmware updates.

              Not sure I understand your question. For CAN boot, you need to leverage the Get Mode, since it is not directly supported through the boot-mode select pins. Did you go through chapter 4 in the TRM? It clearly explains how to select CAN boot by programming the OTP and also in emulation bootmode.

  I  have an small awareness about boot mode configuration  because I have gone through some material for implementing on SCI_BOOT mode , But  In Launchpad doesn't have option for  SCI_BOOT Mode implementation. So i thought of start an implementation on  CAN_BOOT mode.

For SCI_Boot mode I have referred the documents : www.ti.com/lit/sprabv4.

So I looking for the material like a SCI_MODE has one.

In CAN_BOOT mode  need to implement the kernel flash program file  Like a SCI_BOOT Mode has an sci_flash_kernel_cpu1.c am I correct?

  By Switches we can select SCI_BOOT mode but  SCI BOOT0 , SCI BOOT1 pins are not available in  LaunchpadXL.

  One more doubt how we can upload the code via CAN_BOOT , Example SCI_BOOT mode we are using Command Prompt(COM Port ) .

              I now understand what you meant about the SCI bootmode. A colleague brought to my attention the below from the LP User's Guide: 

The SCIA pins routed to the XDS100 v2 are not valid SCI boot mode pins. In addition, the other bootable SCI pins are not routed to any external connector. In other words, this LaunchPad is not capable of using the Boot to SCI boot mode. The TMDSCNCD28379D can be used to evaluate this feature. 

Is this the reason you are looking at CAN-boot? If so, have you looked at https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSDOCK28379D? This may provide you access to the SCI pins. Your development cycle may be shorter with SCI option, since more collateral is available.
