We are using the dual core controller TMS320F28379D in one of our products.

I would like to clarify some doubts on boot modes.

I am planning to use an external SPI flash, but under SPI boot modes the boot ROM loader initialize the SPI as Clock phase =1 and polarity = 0 (mode-1).

Most of the SPI flash/EEPROM operates in mode-0 or mode-3 of SPI. Is is possible to change the CPOL and CPHA during boot rom initialization.

Hello

Only the clock speed and bit rate are possible to configure. If you need to change other settings, then you'll need to create a custom version of the bootloader and put in flash.

The bootloader source is in C2000Ware.

Hi chris,

We have an vienna rectifier TI evaluation kit - TIDM-1000 along with controller module c2000.

The controller is programmed thru USB via emulator, but when controller is power is recycled the program doesn't executed from the flash. Why is it so?

Hello

Verify that you're configuring the boot mode select pin correctly or if you doing this with debugger connected that you're configuring the emulation boot memory for flash boot. Additionally verify that your application entry function code_start is at the flash entry address.

The details of all this are in the ROM chapter of the technical reference manual.
