TMS320F28035: EPWM1A channel not pulled down fully, always stay near high level

Part Number: TMS320F28035

Hi, we have using TDINV3500P100_0V1 board with CC2803X ISO DIMM REV 1.3 as addon card.

On the addon card among 4 EPWM channels i am getting required PWM pulse on 3 channels correctly, but on  EPWM1A channel(GPIO00-pin 69) i am not getting the PWM it always stay high (not pulling down to GND- Refer below image)

When checking pin 69 it shows short with 3.3V of the controller. other EPWM channels not showing short.

Any solution or what might be the issue. Expecting  reply ASP.

Thank you.

  • Praveen,

Well, a good first step is to remove all hardware from the problem pin, this will eliminate the possibility of external HW being the issue.

I see some periodic noise on the PWM there, is that crosstalk or is that a very low amplitude PWM output on the pin?

    Checking your code.

    • Please ensure that GPIO0's pinmux is selecting the PWM output. Without this it doesn't matter what you do inside the PWM.
    • I would recommend removing any unneeded PWM submodule configurations, as these may be blocking the PWM output.
    • Ensure the Action Qualifier actions have been configured correctly and that no external synchronizations are causing the events to be missed.

Commonly the Trip-zone submodule will be used, but only partially configured. If the Trip actions are left at the default of "high-z" then behavior like this can occur.
