I wonder the role of XCLKOUT.

I know It is divided from SYSCLKOUT by 1/4 or 1/2.

    XCLKOUT provides a quick and convenient way of ascertaining the basic health/status of the device. Suppose you design a new board (or even debugging an existing board design) and power it up for the first time. If you see the expected frequency at the XCLKOUT pin, you know that the input clock circuitry and supply voltages are all correct. And more importantly, the device is not completely dead.
