Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335
I need a connection between a TMS320F28335 and a Linux host that can support sustained 11[mb/s] bi-directional traffic. I'd like to use the hosts's USB 2 with an FTDI FT2232H or equivalent to serve this purpose; and if possible the MCU's DMA to keep the USB communication load off of its CPU. I can imagine using the FT2232 FIFOs connected to XINTF zones, but foresee two problems. One is byte packing. The other is DMA flow control when the Rx buffer goes empty or the Tx buffer goes full. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
